Alma Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

1. THE SERVICE

Alma is a development application for macOS, with Alma Mobile for iPhone and Android. It runs on your own computers and lets coding agents of your choice, a built-in browser and a voice assistant work on your behalf. Some features are offered in early access and may change, be limited or be withdrawn.

2. YOUR ACCOUNT

Some features need an Almaorb account. Keep your credentials secret; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you believe it has been used without your permission.

3. AGENTS, MODELS AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Alma connects to services you choose, such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, using your own subscriptions or API keys. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and you are responsible for the charges they make. Agents act on your instructions, in your browser sessions and on your machines: review what they do before you rely on it. We are not responsible for third-party services or for the actions you direct an agent to take.

4. ACCEPTABLE USE

• Do not use the Service unlawfully, or to harm, harass, defraud or infringe the rights of others.
• Do not use agents or the built-in browser to access systems or accounts you are not authorized to access, or in breach of a website's terms.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service, including its software, designs, text, and the Alma and Almaorb names and logos, is owned by Almaorb, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You keep all rights to your code and content; you grant us only the limited permission needed to provide the Service, such as syncing your settings between your own devices.

6. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI output can be wrong.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Almaorb, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or code, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. You agree to indemnify Almaorb, LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.

7. PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains what Almaorb, LLC collects when you use the Service, why, and your choices.

What stays on your machine

Your code, terminals, browser sessions and projects stay on your computers. Dictation audio is transcribed on your Mac and is not sent to us or to any cloud model. API keys are kept in your operating system's keychain.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and, if you choose, your name and sign-in method (password, Google or Apple).
• Synced data: if you sign in, the settings and keys you choose to sync between your devices, encrypted per user before they are stored.
• Technical data: basic logs such as IP address and request times, used to operate, secure and rate-limit the Service.
• Website data: almaorb.com uses minimal local storage for preferences. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising trackers.

Voice assistant and third parties

When you talk to the voice assistant, your speech and the assistant's context are sent to the speech and language provider you configure (for example Google Gemini) under your own key, to answer and act. Agents send what you give them to the providers you choose. Those providers process data under their own terms.

Retention and security

We keep account and synced data while your account exists and delete it when you delete your account, except where the law requires us to keep it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it; no system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Write to [email protected].

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. CHANGES

We may update these Terms and this Privacy Policy and will post the new effective date here. Using the Service after an update means you accept it.

9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida, have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
