Almaorb, Inc. ("Almaorb", "we", "us") builds a voice-first computing platform — a voice assistant (the "orb") and the business applications that run on it. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices when you use almaorb.com and our applications (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Voice and text you provide. When you speak or type to the orb, we process the audio and text of your request to respond and perform the action you ask for.
Usage and device data. Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and interaction logs, used to operate, secure, and rate-limit the Service.
Information you submit in an application. For business features (e.g. a booking, an order, a lead form) we process the details you enter to fulfill that request.
Local storage / cookies. We use minimal local storage to remember preferences (such as theme). We do not sell your data.

2. How we use information

To provide, operate, and improve the Service and the orb's responses.
To process the specific actions you request (bookings, orders, messages, etc.).
To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party processors

To deliver real-time voice and AI features, we send the necessary audio and text to trusted service providers — including Google (Gemini) for speech and language processing, and infrastructure/hosting providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms; we share only what is needed to provide the feature. We do not sell personal information.

4. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal or accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Transient voice session data is retained only as needed to operate the session and improve reliability.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect data appropriately for its sensitivity.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at marco@almaorb.com.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. International users

We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, you understand your information may be processed in the US and other countries.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
